The Role
The National Safety Manager is growing the team, and is looking for a driven Work Health and Safety professional to train and develop. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting and enabling Work Health and Safety objectives and the ongoing implementation of strategy. Your responsibilities will include working and consulting with the business to create a safe and productive working environment, driving a simplified, proactive, risk based and collaborative safety culture and ensuring that Work Health and Safety KPI’s, policies and procedures comply with applicable legislation. Key stakeholders will be the operation leaders coaching and mentoring on a daily basis.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in Work Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Behavioural Science or other related fields (Minimum Cert IV)
• 2+ Years experience working in a Work Health and Safety related field
• Experience conducting Health and Safety Audits, Risk Assessments, Training & Presentations and Contractor Management
• Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
• Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, listening, empathy and flexibility
• Willingness to travel nationally once a quarter
• Please note this role is based on-site 5 days per week
