Our client holds a dominant market position on Australia's west coast, and is now expanding into the east coast C&I gas market following a period of exceptional performance. They are also exploring opportunities for growth in power and renewable energy markets.

About the Position
This role is a part-time permanent opportunity, with a requirement to cover Fridays, weekends, and public holidays. The key focus of the Operations Analyst will be on managing the gas supply and delivery of gas from production facilities to end use miners and industrial customers.

The role will involve:

• Working with a small high-performing team
• Wholesale energy trading operations
• Business analysis of client load requirement
• Building/maintaining strong, professional relationships with consumers, pipeline operators and other market participants.
• Determination and submission on nominations to gas supply and transport operators.
• Negotiate and finalise commercial arrangements for the purchase and sale of domestic gas.
• Delivery of energy solutions for large industrial and mining clients
• Reporting and analysis
• Drive continuous improvement and efficiencies by streamlining processes

About You
Based on the working pattern, this role would be well-suited to an individual who is returning to work after parental leave, studying towards completing their degree, or requiring increased flexibility to cater for personal circumstances.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Studying a relevant degree in economics, commerce, engineering, or similar
• Good commercial analysis skills and broad commercial acumen
• Strong Excel modelling and capability in other programming languages are highly desirable
• Highly motivated self-starter who takes accountability for deliverables
• Enjoys making important decisions when under pressure
• Proactive mindset with a strong initiative in continuous and process improvement.
• Eager to learn and support individual self-development
• A team player that supports positive and robust collaboration and stakeholder engagement both internally and externally.
• Adaptable and resilient in meeting business goals and objectives
