We are a catering company that is looking for an event cook/chef to work for us on a full-time basis OR contract basis from September to May.

Want to get out and about at the many great locations around Melbourne and regional Victoria in our food trucks and marquees? Our mobile Spanish catering company is now looking for an energetic chef/cook/driver to help us operate our food truck/mobile catering business & events. You do not necessarily have to be a qualified chef, but it would need to have experience in a busy kitchen and hospitality environment.

What we are looking for:

Great communication & customer service skills

Someone who is 100% reliable & trustworthy

Able to be flexible with hours – will involve working most weekends.

Willing to be an all-rounder.

Practical person able to think on your feet and adapt to situations, as on-site catering is always at different locations that have different challenges and requirements

Able to work autonomously.

Reasonable amount of basic fitness is required

Good organisational skills

Must have driver’s licence

Be a fast and efficient worker

Duties include but not limited to:

Driving food truck to and from events and festivals

Overseeing 2 or 3 staff members at the events

Prep work

Cooking at the events

Helping with serving

Cleaning up

Loading and unloading equipment

Filling out daily reports at events

Keeping kitchen warehouse and stock levels organised

The job is based in Rowville, Victoria at our factory/kitchen, however this position will take you to some amazing music festivals, food and wine festivals, sporting events, corporate events, and many other functions. Some overnight stays will be involved at multi day events due to the music festival remote locations. If you’re looking for something different and enjoy working in a variety of locations, this job is for you!

This job offers a competitive salary to the right person. Due to the seasonal nature of the business, extended holidays may be taken during the winter as accrued time in lieu. Will suit someone who is keen to work hard for the busy season and have a nice extended paid break during the off season. Would also suit someone who works hospo in the Alpine regions in winter and needs work over the warmer months.

We are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible so training can commence early to get ready for our upcoming busy season.
