Role Description: Project Support Officer

As a Project Support Officer embedded within a client environment under a defined Scope of Works, you will support the delivery of capability planning and execution. You will be integrated within a client teams to assist in the coordination and execution of strategies, plans, and capabilities that help the client achieve their objectives effectively and efficiently.

As a team member, your primary responsibility is to contribute as directed by the client and Apex Sentinel leadership. Your outcomes must translate into tangible benefits and measurable progress in the client's capability uplift and operational performance.

You will be expected to proactively build your understanding of capability development frameworks, national security and best-practice planning and delivery methodologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are required, along with the discretion to manage sensitive project information. Clear and structured communication skills are essential, as you may be involved in preparing reports, documentation, or briefings for senior leaders and key stakeholders.

Success in this role depends on your ability to work collaboratively and effectively with both client teams and Apex Sentinel colleagues. You may also engage with a broad range of external parties, including legal, compliance, regulatory, and industry stakeholders, as directed.

Key Responsibilities

· Project Support: Provide administrative, coordination, and analytical support to capability planning and delivery activities.

· Outcome Contribution: Assist in the achievement of scoped deliverables with initiative and minimal supervision.

· Information Management: Maintain accurate records and ensure secure handling of sensitive project-related information.

· Stakeholder Liaison: Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, support briefings and working group engagements as required.

· Operational Support: Provide assistance and timely advice on project matters under client or Apex direction.

· Continuous Improvement: Actively seek opportunities to develop knowledge and skills relevant to capability planning, project management, and delivery.

· Resourcing Oversight: Monitor tasking, resources, and risks to ensure commitments are met and escalate issues as required.

· Administrative and Strategic Support: Undertake additional duties as directed by the client, Apex COO, or Director.

Requirements

· You have a current and valid, Top Secret Positive Vetted security clearance (essential)

· You have previous (5+ years) of experience within a relatable organisation and field of expertise (essential)

Salary Band

· $125,000 - $145,000 exclusive of superannuation contribution
