We are seeking motivated, highly organized individuals with strong interpersonal skills to join our Site Project Delivery team in the capacity of Abrasive blasters and Spray Painters.

4 months scheduled work at the Port of Newcastle carrying out a repaint project on one of Port Waratah Coal Services Shiploaders.

Ongoing works will follow for Individuals who want to stay on. The choice is yours.

Awesome rates of pay for day and night shift with completion bonus to be paid, just in time for Christmas.

Job tasks and responsibilities:

A strong work ethic is essential to employment with us

Ongoing Site works are available for the right employees

Abrasive Blasting

Industrial painting and other protective coatings

Maintain equipment and troubleshoot problems

Work well with other team members

High focus on working safely

Skills and experience:

-Great knowledge of surface preparation and high build industrial paint products

-Experienced at reading and understanding protective coatings technical data sheets and understanding paint systems

-Be fit for working in this industry

To be considered you will need to demonstrate the following:

Honesty; be upfront with your skills and abilities. If we know your limitations - we can potentially work with that.

Experience; we need to see that you have credible experience within an industrial Painting and Blasting capacity

These roles will have a trial period and you will need to pass a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen

Employment options available - Permanent, Casual or Sub-contractor

Candidate Requirements:

A strong work ethic is essential to employment with us

Able to perform in workshop setting

Able to perform various shifts On-Site setting

Afternoon shifts are available

Consistent overtime

Weekend work also available from time to time.

Able to work efficiently in a team.

Has a good work attitude.

Confined Space ticket - Desirable

Working at Heights ticket - Desirable

Elevated work Platform ticket - Desirable

Forklift operator ticket - Desirable

Be able to adapt to an ever-changing workload and prioritize incoming jobs

Willing to work with a team at our blast and paint facility and with our on-site teams

About you:

Strong work ethic with a “can-do" attitude.

Minimum 2 years' experience as a Painter Blaster, preferably within the resources industry - Desirable

Trade Certification - Cert III Surface Preparation - Desirable

Hold a Nationally Accredited Working in Confined Spaces - Desirable

Hold a Nationally Accredited Working at Heights - Desirable

Hold Nationally Accredited Elevated work platform - Desirable

Ability to pass a site project specific pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen

A willing and pro-active attitude towards safety

Ability to work within a cohesive team

Proactive, good timekeeping and reliable
