Industrial Spray Painter / Assembler

Alford is seeking an experienced Industrial Spray Painter to join our growing team in Dubbo, NSW.

As a valued member of the Alford production team, you will be responsible for the final operation in the production of Alford Cylinders. Your paint finish will be the first thing our clients see in our product.

About the role

• Prepare and paint hydraulic cylinders in designated finish.

• Maintain paint area and paint supplies.

• Follow operating instructions.

• Safely manage the daily movement of cylinders manually, using overhead cranes, and other material handling devices.

• Perform basic quality checks on delivered paint supplies and consumables.

• Assist with goods inwards.

• Additional duties in production according to workload. Likely to include assembly of hydraulic cylinders. The mix of duties can vary from day to day.

• Overtime hours available from time to time.

About you

• An industrial painting trade or background is an advantage.

• Previous experience in a similar industry would be highly regarded.

• Pride in workmanship is essential.

• Physically fit and able to safely manage heavy loads (using lifting equipment provided).

• Forklift licence preferred, however support in obtaining a licence may be offered)

• Innovative thinker, in touch with modern technology and practices.

• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and work procedures.

• Mature and reliable team member, who can work independently and in a team.

• Positive can-do attitude, with an eye for detail.

• Clear communicator.

• Ability to prioritise and stay focused.
