About the role

Are you an exceptional medical receptionist looking to join a dynamic and growing ophthalmology practice? MidWest Ophthalmology in Orange, NSW is seeking a full-time Medical Receptionist to provide exceptional front-of-house customer service and administrative support to our patients and clinical team.

What you'll be doing

Greeting and welcoming patients to the practice in a friendly and professional manner

Handling patient inquiries and booking appointments efficiently and effectively

Performing general administrative duties such as filing, data entry and records management

Assisting with medical billing, insurance claims and other financial processes

Maintaining a clean and organised reception area

Providing support to the clinical team as required

What we're looking for

Previous experience as a medical receptionist

Be able to work between the hours of 8.30am and 6pm

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with patients in a warm and empathetic manner

Strong organisational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail

Proficiency in using medical practice management software

Understanding of medical terminology and procedures

Friendly, professional and committed to providing high-quality customer service
