Description

Your responsibilities will include but wont be limited to:

• Preparation of the Groups tax compliance, workers compensation & insurance obligations
• Preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards
• Standing journal preparation & posting (prepayments, accruals, etc)
• Preparation and consolidation of weekly P&L reports from divisional Finance Managers
• Monthly reconciliation of profit and loss and balance sheet accounts and provide an analytical review of the month end results for discussion with the relevant stakeholders
• Responsible for cash flow forecasting and reporting
• Bank reconciliations including foreign currency and payments
• Intercompany reconciliations
• Preparation of various monthly board & bank reports
• Maintenance of the Groups Fixed Asset Register, capital reporting and depreciation journals.
• AASB16 Lease Accounting/Reporting
• Corporate cost center reporting
• Supporting role in year-end procedures, including liaison with external auditors
• Assisting with the preparation of the annual budget and forecasting including maintenance in ERP
• Assisting with timely identification and compliance with evolving Australian Accounting Standards, including preparation technical accounting papers

Profile

A successful Financial Accountant should have:

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA or CA qualification, or working towards one.
• Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
• The ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Experience within the FMCG / Manufacturing industry is desirable but not essential.

Job Offer
