ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Financial Accountant, reporting through to the Financial Operations Manager, will work closely with the finance team and the broader organisation to produce financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance with corporate governance while also driving improvements to systems and processes. This role collaborates with the senior leadership team to understand the business goals of CEHL and aligns financial strategies to support these goals effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting - managing the month end close, producing financial reports and analysis, statutory reporting on GST, Workcover and PAYG
• Budget Preparation - support the budgeting process through the provision of financial data, financial business partnering to managers to support them in managing their divisional budget
• Financial Management - fixed asset accounting, purchase order management, balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliation, support AP and AR functions as needed
• Remuneration & Benefits - payroll support as required, reporting on payroll data and identifying improvements to be made, assist with FBT preparation in conjunction with Fin. Operations Manager.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

This role will ideally suit an experienced Financial Accountant with 3-5 years of professional experience relevant to this role. The successful candidate will have:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• CPA certification preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and consultation skills
• Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation including tax and workcover

• Demonstrated experience in the use of financial accounting packages and advanced Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills.
• Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with others
• Ability to work autonomously and with direction
• Commercial acumen.
