We operate the Sydney Recycling Park, a 30-acre facility in the heart of Western Sydney’s Kemps Creek — an ideal location close to major manufacturing and industrial hubs. Easily accessible via the M7, the site services Sydney’s Commercial, Industrial and Demolition sectors.
At Wanless & Sydney Recycling Park, we’re leading the way in sustainable waste management. Using advanced sorting technology, our team works to divert valuable materials from landfill while protecting the local environment and actively engaging with the surrounding community.
Your Role
As the Landfill Manager, you’ll take the reins of a high-performing site — driving productivity, innovation and safety, all while ensuring full regulatory compliance. You’ll lead a dedicated team, manage operations, guide upgrades and improvements, and contribute directly to the long-term strategy of the business.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading the safe and efficient operation of landfill and recovery activities
- Meeting production and budget targets, and tracking against KPIs
- Managing site improvements, equipment upgrades and project rollouts
- Ensuring compliance with EPA licensing, Council approvals and WHS legislation
- Monitoring product stockpiles and eliminating contamination risks
- Developing and managing annual budgets and cost controls
- Leading, training and mentoring staff to build capability and performance
- Driving continuous improvement and operational efficiencies
- Reporting to senior leadership and supporting broader business growth
About you
- Formal qualifications in Waste, Mining, Environmental Science or similar
- Proven experience managing large waste, quarry or recycling facilities
- A strong understanding of WHS, compliance, and EPA regulations
- Leadership skills that inspire and empower your team
- Commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and P&L
- A solutions-focused, hands-on approach to complex site operations
- Strong communication skills and stakeholder management experience
- Ability to pass a medical & regular drug & alcohol testing
