SSA Recruitment are working with Australia's market-leading M&E Contractors who are actively seeking experienced Mechanical Project Engineers to join their teams throughout the Greater Melbourne area.

The Company:
Our client is a market-leading M&E Contractor focussing predominantly on the commercial and fit-out industry in the Greater Melbourne area. Due to continued growth and expansion, they are seeking experienced and driven young professionals to join their team.

The Role:
As a member of an experienced team of Mechanical Engineers you will be responsible for the daily tracking of project progress, management of subcontractors, monitoring of quality and contributing to design aspects of large scale Commercial and Fit Out projects in throughout the Greater Melbourne area.

Responsibilities:

• Day-to-day management of project construction activities.
• Development, monitoring, and control of project installation schedule for the scope.
• Plan, manage and implement the site installation activities necessary to ensure all site-specific and contract requirements are met.
• Monitor and report the performance of the workforce and subcontractors on site to ensure technical, program, quality, environmental, safety and commercial obligations are achieved and maintained.
• Attend design reviews and provide advice relating to constructability, safety, site access and associated issues.
• Manage changes to scope, deliverables, schedule, and budget.

Qualifications and Experience

• Demonstrated practical experience with HVAC and Plumbing Systems or similar mechanical systems.
• Demonstrated practical experience with Commercial/Fit-out projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering (or similar).
• Subcontractor management experience.
• Well-developed leadership and management skills.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail.
