Serco, in partnership with WA Health, is seeking experienced General Medical and General Surgical Registered Nurses for 6–12 week contracts across regional and remote Western Australia.

These roles are ideal for adaptable, well-rounded nurses ready to step into diverse ward environments where your core nursing skills will be highly valued and relied upon.

About the Role

You will be part of a multidisciplinary team providing high-quality care to patients with a wide range of clinical presentations. From post-operative recovery to chronic condition management and acute admissions, every day brings variety and challenge.

Your responsibilities will include:

Delivering comprehensive patient care across medical and surgical wards

Monitoring and assessing patient condition and progress

Administering medications and IV therapy safely

Coordinating with allied health, doctors, and discharge planners

Supporting patients and families with education and care planning

Contributing to safe and effective shift handovers and clinical documentation

About You

You are a compassionate and capable RN with strong foundational skills and a flexible, team-focused approach. You're confident working in a rural setting and ready to adapt to new environments.

You’ll need:

Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse

At least 1 year of post-graduate experience in general medical/surgical wards

Full Australian working rights (citizen, PR, or valid visa) – no sponsorship available

Recent clinical competencies and ability to work independently

Previous rural or remote nursing experience highly regarded
