About the role

Edge Construction Services is seeking a highly organised and experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join our team. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounts and bookkeeping functions for our companies, based in Edwardstown, SA.

What you'll be doing

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll for a small team, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries

Preparing monthly financial statements, BAS, and other reports for management and external parties

Ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards, legislation, and company policies

The roll will not be limited to bookkeeping but will include daily administrative duties as required by management.

What we're looking for

Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior bookkeeping or accounting role, preferably within the construction industry

Strong working knowledge of accounting software in particular Xero

Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines

Proven experience in preparing financial statements, BAS, and other key reports

Demonstrated attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders

Tertiary qualification in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
