Assistant Sydney has partnered with a well-established and highly respected law firm, known for their field expertise. This role is an integral part of the firm’s day-to-day operations, offering a blend of front-of-house responsibility and administrative support to ensure the office runs smoothly. You'll be the first point of contact for clients and visitors, setting the tone for a professional, welcoming experience, while also assisting the legal team in maintaining an organised and efficient workplace.

The Responsibilities
Acting as the first point of contact for the firm, you’ll manage a range of front-of-house and administrative duties, including:
- Greeting clients and visitors with professionalism and warmth, managing appointments and meeting room bookings
- Managing a high volume of incoming calls and emails, directing queries efficiently and appropriately.
- Coordinating couriers, mail, and deliveries, ensuring timely distribution.
- Supporting meeting and event coordination, including catering and set-up.
- Maintaining the reception area to a high standard at all times.
- Assisting with general administrative support including document collation, running reports, data entry, and ad hoc office tasks.
- Liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders with confidence and discretion.
The Expertise
The successful candidate will have 1–3 years’ experience in a similar environment. Prior experience in Legal, Medical, or Client Services is highly regarded. You will demonstrate the ability to anticipate client needs and take a proactive, solutions-focused approach to all tasks. A high level of attention to detail, polished presentation, and strong organisational efficiency are essential to succeed in this role. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, along with a high level of emotional intelligence, building rapport and navigating sensitive situations with professionalism and care. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is also required.
