Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain accurate fortnightly rosters for support staff, ensuring continuity of care for participants.
Respond quickly to shift changes and cancellations, coordinating replacements efficiently.
Liaise with support workers, case managers, and participants to match shifts appropriately based on skills, preferences, and availability.
Manage and update staff availability and leave requests within ShiftCare.
Monitor rostering KPIs including shift coverage rates, overtime minimisation, and participant satisfaction.
Ensure compliance with SCHADS Award provisions, fatigue management rules, and NDIS practice standards.
Provide regular reporting to management on rostering trends, challenges, and solutions.
Support the onboarding of new staff by setting up profiles and initial schedules.
Participate in after-hours or on-call support roster if required.
Skills & Experience Required:
Minimum 2 years of rostering or workforce scheduling experience (NDIS or community care preferred)
Proficiency in ShiftCare (or other rostering software such as Carelink, Allocate, or AlayaCare)
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task under pressure
Understanding of SCHADS Award and NDIS compliance requirements
High attention to detail and excellent time management
Clear and professional communication skills – written and verbal
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Desirable Qualifications:
Certificate III/IV in Business Administration, Disability Services, or relevant field
Experience managing rosters across multiple geographic locations
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and reporting tools
