Our client is a Top 200 ASX Listed Business based in Sydney's CBD who are looking for a Group Financial Controller on a 6 month basis to support the year end process and the preparation of Statutory Accounts.

Responsibilities

• Lead the group’s month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting processes to ASX and regulatory standards.
• Oversee preparation of consolidated financial statements in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) and IFRS.
• Ensure timely and accurate external reporting, including investor presentations, board packs, and audit committee documentation.
• Manage the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors and advisors.
• Lead, coach, and support a high-performing finance team across group entities and subsidiaries.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, governance frameworks, and risk management protocols.
• Partner with FP&A, tax, legal, and operational teams to support business performance and strategic decisions.

Candidate Profile
We understand shortlisted candidates will have the following professional profile.

Career Experience

• CA/CPA qualified with 10+ years of progressive experience in financial control and reporting.
• Proven track record as a Financial Controller or Group FC in a listed or large corporate environment.

Essential Criteria

• Strong understanding of ASX reporting requirements and corporate governance.
• Experience with AASB 15 and capitalisation costs.
• Experience managing and improving financial processes and systems.
• Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
