Role Overview

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Financial Accountant to join a prominent organisation. This is a business-critical role requiring an experienced financial professional to step in immediately and ensure seamless continuity of financial operations during a key transition period. The position is based on the Gold Coast, with an initial handover/training phase in Brisbane.

We are seeking a highly capable, detail-oriented accounting professional with a minimum of 5 years' experience in financial accounting, ideally at a senior level. This is an urgent contract and will suit someone who is available immediately or before month-end.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute core financial accounting duties including journal preparation, month-end GL close, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Conduct revenue reconciliation and accounting with accuracy and efficiency.
• Deliver timely and relevant fixed asset management reporting as needed.
• Investigate and resolve transactional issues such as misallocations, inter-company mismatches, and late adjustments.
• Perform detailed profit & loss analysis to support month-end close processes.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in financial accounting, ideally within mid to large-scale commercial environments.
• Demonstrated ability to manage month-end close and reconciliations with minimal supervision.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Proven experience working in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
• Availability to start immediately or no later than month-end is essential.
• Willingness and ability to travel to Brisbane for a brief training and handover period.

• Location: Based on the Gold Coast with initial training in Brisbane
