About the Role

A respected leader in the hospitality/entertainment sector is urgently seeking a Financial Accountant for a 3-month contract based in Brisbane. This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional with strong month-end and reconciliation experience who can step into a fast-paced environment and hit the ground running.

Working as part of a collaborative finance team, this role will support critical financial operations during a high-priority transition period. Immediate availability is essential, and the successful candidate must be able to commit to the full duration of the contract.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare and process general ledger journals for monthly closing activities.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Support revenue accounting and reconciliation functions across key business units.
• Assist in profit & loss reviews to ensure accurate month-end reporting.
• Help resolve inter-company mismatches, incorrect allocations, and other transactional issues.
• Provide asset-related financial information and reports as needed.

What We’re Looking For

• At least 3–5 years of experience in a financial accounting role.
• Solid working knowledge of month-end processes and reconciliations.
• High attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Comfortable operating in a deadline-driven, corporate environment.
• Available immediately or able to commence no later than month-end.
• Based in Brisbane or able to reliably commute to the Brisbane office.
