The purpose of the Principal Program Accountant is to manage, support, and deliver on high quality management accounting, reporting, monitoring, analysis, and financial advice to the IWFM Program environment.

What you'll do

You will:

  • Participate in, manage, and provide guidance to the IWFM Program to develop and deliver high quality and relevant financial reporting, analysis, advice, and support to key stakeholders through budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and information for management decision making.
  • Develop your, and your team's, productive relationships across finance and their stakeholders in supporting robust financial management within and across the Divisions, communicating effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure maintenance and integrity of data, financial systems, management tools, and reporting.

About you

We are searching for someone who has:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in the provision of financial services, including management accounting concepts, practices, and strategies; and, financial management legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills with the use and development of contemporary financial reporting practices, reporting fundamentals, and the understanding of financing, cost and revenue structures, drivers, and the relationship between each.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills and experience to provide insight and assist decision making.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and consultation skills within a multidisciplinary workplace.
  • Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to manage a heavy workload, competing priorities, and the ability to meet deadlines and establish work priorities.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to understand formula driven financial models and prepare data analysis and reconciliations with a high degree of accuracy and consistency. Financial analytics systems experience will be highly regarded.
