Play Therapy Melbourne is an NDIS Registered Provider, home to a passionate team of Mental & Allied Health Professionals. We provide compassionate, evidence-based therapeutic support to children and families across Melbourne, including the Mornington Peninsula and Geelong.

Role Details
Positions Available:
1–2 roles available, full-time or part-time (negotiable for the right candidate).
Immediate starts available.
Location:
Negotiable for the right candidate, however we have current capacity at our Frankston, Briar Hill (Greensborough) and Moonee Ponds clinics.
About the Role
Deliver 1:1 therapeutic interventions to children and families prodominately in clinic, however at times potentailly in community, or educational settings
Opportunity to support and co-facilitate group therapy programs alongside our passionate team during quieter periods (e.g. school holidays)
Conduct therapeutic sessions, observations, and assessments to develop individualised support plans
Collaborate with parents, carers, case managers, and educators to implement holistic support strategies
Attend multidisciplinary care team meetings
Act as an advocate for the child and family
Provide emotional support and guidance to parents/carers
Monitor progress and adapt strategies to meet changing needs
Prepare professional documentation, including NDIS reports and court-ordered reports, in collaboration with allied health professionals
Maintain accurate, confidential records in line with privacy and compliance standards
Participate in team meetings, clinical supervision, and ongoing professional development
Adhere to all relevant ethical and regulatory guidelines
About You
Professional Experience:
Experience working with complex cases in disability, trauma, or child safety sectors
Familiarity with NDIS policies and procedures is highly desirable
Confidence conducting Psychological Assessments highly desireable
Qualifications:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree; postgraduate qualifications strongly preferred
Current AHPRA Registration (provisional registration acceptable for the right candidate)

Therapeutic Competence:
Ability to independently manage complex caseloads
Demonstrated strengths-based, trauma-informed, and child-centred therapeutic skills
Communication & Teamwork:
Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
Collaborative approach to working within multidisciplinary teams
Technology & Organisation:
Confident using Office 365 and practice management systems
Ability to manage time effectively and follow internal processes and compliance standards
