At Curtin University, our Risk, Compliance and Audit team play a pivotal role supporting the University manage risks and provide assurance on the University’s policies and compliance arrangements. Our team works closely with a wide range of stakeholders to develop and support a culture of transparency, accountability, and excellence, contributing to the University’s long-term success.

About the Role

As a Risk and Policy Compliance Coordinator, you will collaborate with various university stakeholders and work to facilitate and support the University’s policy, compliance, risk and insurance frameworks. This is a unique opportunity to directly contribute to the safeguarding of the University's operations and reputation by providing expert guidance, facilitating processes, and promoting best practices. Your work will have a lasting impact, helping to create a safer, more transparent, and resilient institution.

Key roles and responsibilities:

  • Help lead the administration of systems, tools, templates, and processes for the University's policy, compliance, risk and insurance frameworks.
  • Supporting subject matter experts (SME’s) in the RCA team with project coordination (digital transformation) and general workflow administration support.
  • Guiding and supporting University policy developers with the design, review, approval and publishing of their policies.
  • Spreading awareness through education and training materials to enhance policy, compliance, and risk capabilities.
  • Monitoring changes in the external political, legislative or regulatory environment that could impact Curtin.
  • Collecting and analysing data to generate insights and dashboards to support the development of reports related to the policy, compliance, risk and insurance.

SELECTION CRITERIA
We are looking for someone with:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience working within policy, compliance, risk or insurance.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly present information.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships across various areas and levels.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to autonomously manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A keen interest in digital systems and project coordination.

Role Requirements
You will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role to be considered.
