This position is situated in Darwin with the Flora and Fauna Division which has primary responsibility for the provision of technical and policy advice on terrestrial and aquatic biodiversity conservation and management in the Northern Territory.

The position will manage, implement and report on environmental monitoring and research programs for Darwin Harbour in collaboration with program partners. The position will also provide advice for the management of Darwin Harbour and other estuarine environments. This includes undertaking data compilation, management and analyses, project reporting and research publications.

The position is on-going and is an opportunity for a mid- or senior- career scientist to fill an important role in estuarine / marine science in northern Australia and build on the exceptional history of environmental monitoring conducted over many decades within the Flora and Fauna Division.
