The Department of the Legislative Assembly in the Northern Territory is looking for an individual who has demonstrated high-level research, analytical, and report-writing skills to join its Committee Office for 12 months as a Senior Research Officer.

The Committee Office supports and promotes the democratic institution of Parliament through the provision of administrative, procedural and logistical support to parliamentary committees.

The key duties of this Senior Research Officer position include supporting parliamentary committee inquiries, undertaking public policy research and analysis and drafting reports with recommendations.

A relevant tertiary qualification and experience providing secretariat support to parliamentary committees is desirable, but not essential.

This position is based at Parliament House in Darwin, Northern Territory.
