Our client is adding to an established project delivery team to execute improvement and sustaining capital works to an operating chemical processing plant.

The successful candidate will work closely with Project Managers and interface with the production and maintenance teams as well as a network of established contract service providers to deliver projects safely, on schedule and on budget.

Role Details

The Construction Supervisor will be responsible for managing safety, quality and schedule of site works by contractors for brownfields project delivery, for a portfolio of process plant improvement and structural and bund remediation projects ranging $200k to $10m value requiring concurrent execution.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Coordination of scaffolding, boilermaking/welding, coatings and electrical contractor groups to collaborate in executing project tasks.
• Enforce and promote a strong safety culture, ensuring adherence to industry safety standards and company policies.
• Monitor and inspect contractor works to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and client expectations.
• Assist Project Managers to develop and maintain project schedules and allocation of contractor resources to continuously sustain workfronts for site contractor base, and generate required manning forecasts.
• Plan and schedule installation activities using SAP
• Assist, as required, with the commissioning of new process plant installations.
• Raising and managing investigation and closeout of safety incident reports and quality non-conformance reports.

Key Skills include:

• Australian Recognised Trade Certificate or Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical/Structural/Materials/Corrosion Engineering
• Significant experience within brownfields project delivery and or SMP remediation work programs.
• Experience in managing site contractors.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work to meet multiple deadlines
• Minimum of 8 years relevant experience with structural, mechanical (inc tanks and pressure vessels) and piping fabrication and installations in compliance with relevant Australian, ASME and API standards.
• Familiar with QA/QC systems and procedures.
• Section 26 course and successful exam preferred.
• Current Working at Height and Confined Space Entry Qualifications preferred.

Recognised coating and welding inspection qualifications will be viewed extremely favorably - NACE, CSWIP etc.
