The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Senior Health & Safety Officer with 10+ years’ experience to take ownership of site-based safety on this flagship development. You’ll play a key leadership role in fostering a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance across every stage of the build.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all WHS functions across the site, from inductions to incident reporting
• Conduct regular risk assessments, inspections, and audits
• Champion a proactive, safety-first mindset across all project participants
• Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, codes, and industry standards
• Engage professionally with councils, key stakeholders, and union representatives to maintain alignment on safety, compliance, and site operations
• Provide confident, polished representation of the project to external parties

What You’ll Need:

• 10+ years experience in WHS roles within the construction industry
• Cert IV or Diploma in WHS (or higher)
• Proven ability to communicate at all levels, from site operatives to executives, unions, and regulatory bodies
• Demonstrated leadership and influence in driving positive safety culture on large, complex builds
• Strong understanding of modern construction practices
• Polished presentation, strong communication, and negotiation skills essential
