Health and Safety Advisor - Permanent and Contract Options Available.

• $120,000 - $140,000 plus Super, roaming site-based Health and Safety Advisor role across Western Sydney, based in Bradfield. Contract options also available.

This position will be working on a large and unique, rail infrastructure project, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to continually elevate health and safety site standards.

About the Company

This company works on a range of large-scale rail projects across Europe, America and Australia. The company has a healthy pipeline of work which is continuing to grow, and they are currently looking to hire a roaming site-based Health and Safety Advisor, to work across the various sites within one of their major projects.

About the role

This role will involve implementing Health and Safety policies and procedures on site, by building strong relationships and trust throughout the site teams. The company has a good health and safety culture, and this is something they are keen to echo on this major project, ensuring continuity across the different sections and teams. This role will report into the Health and Safety Manager, and will also involve working closely with other internal, and external, stakeholders. This is a permanent hire and as such they are looking for a driven individual to grow with them.

Duties

• Implementing Health and Safety policies and procedures across different sites, ensuring compliance and keeping updated with key changes to legislation
• Visiting site and engaging with site teams and managers, ensuring responsibilities are clear and answering technical Health and Safety related enquires
• Conducting audits, inspections, and accident investigations. Constantly seeking areas for improvement and development in Health and Safety performance
• Engaging with the client and other external stakeholders, acting as a key point of contact

Skills & Experience

• Experience in a similar role ideally within rail, civil engineering, infrastructure, construction or related industries
• Experience implementing health and safety policies, in line with relevant legislative requirements
• CertIV in Health and Safety, or equivalent
• Experience in gap analysis, and ability to provide practical and tangible solutions where required
• Experience establishing and maintain good working relationship at all levels
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Visio
