Best Kidz Southern Highlands is a privately owned 51 place early Education Service located in the Southern Highlands. Our aim is to provide early childhood care and education in a safe, welcoming, adopting and nurturing environment.

We’re seeking an experienced and passionate Room Leader who is ready to lead with confidence, inspire their team, and create a nurturing, high-quality learning environment for children.

As the Room Leader, you’ll bring your proven leadership experience and deep knowledge of early childhood education to guide educators, support children’s development, and work closely with families. You'll play a key role in shaping the room’s daily rhythm and ensuring compliance with all relevant frameworks and regulations.

You will provide leadership in delivering high quality, inclusive learning programs, while working closely alongside the Centre Director to strive for an exceeding centre.

About the role:

Lead and mentor educators to achieve excellence and maintain strong professional relationships with one another.

Lead and develop the team to deliver a high-quality cycle of planning, curriculum and outcomes for each child in your room.

Ensure that all documentation, of children's learning, is visible and accessible to families and contains high-quality information to meet regulatory requirements.

Create a friendly, secure and stimulating interactive learning environment.

Maintain positive working relationships with all team members.

Ensure a high level of health & safety standards are maintained at all times.

About you:

What You’ll Bring:

Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (minimum requirement) (working towards Diploma may be considered for the right applicant)

Current approved Asthma and Anaphylaxis training

Current approved First Aid Certificate

Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (preferred )

Prior experience as a Room Leader (essential)

Strong leadership and mentoring abilities

A clear understanding of the EYLF, NQS, and relevant legislation

Excellent communication and team collaboration skills

Ability to plan, implement, and reflect on engaging programs

Passion for early education and commitment to continuous improvement
