Happy Haven OSHC is seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to join our leadership team!
Happy Haven OSHC is a South Australian-owned and operated company managing 48 OSHC services across the state. We are an Approved Provider with an expert team capable of running outstanding OSHC programs on school sites.
As the Operations Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operations, leading teams, and driving strategic initiatives that align with our vision and values. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive leader who is passionate about early childhood education and service excellence.
What is the role about?
Deliver strategic plans on time and within allocated budgets
Provide transparent reporting on progress and actions outlined in the strategic plan
Develop, maintain, and review relevant policies, procedures, and position descriptions to ensure they align with organisational values and strategy
Conduct performance reviews for Relationship Managers and Professional Development Advisors in line with strategic objectives
Effectively manage, support, and delegate tasks to Relationship Managers
Guide and assist Professional Development Advisors to keep their knowledge and skills current
Ensure the delivery of high-quality programs that improve outcomes for children
Align service delivery with professional development initiatives to foster continuous improvement
Attract, support, lead, and retain skilled staff capable of delivering high-quality care
Reduce the occurrence of serious incidents and challenging behaviours through proactive measures
Maximise service viability by efficiently managing and optimising utilisation
Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders
Facilitate timely and effective communication and collaboration with internal business units to support strategic goals
Promote trust and strengthen relationships among educator teams, children, and families
Empower Service Leaders to take increased responsibility for team building and leadership
Foster a culture of innovation, leadership, and accountability within the team
Encourage high-quality educator engagement with children to enhance programming and outcomes
Oversee the planning, review, and implementation of annual training and development programs for educators and Service Leaders
Advocate for a culture of voluntary compliance with regulatory requirements
Ensure inclusion funding is effectively used to support equitable access and participation
Coordinate OSHC Leaders’ Day, including program development, as directed by the COO
What we need in you?
Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage, delegate, and motivate teams effectively
Strong understanding of the OSHC environment, regulations, and operational requirements
Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to interpret key data sets and set KPIs
Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital systems/tools
Ability to foster innovation, leadership, and accountability within teams
Experience in developing and maintaining policies and procedures
A tertiary qualification in education, operations management, business administration, or related field is desirable
Hold or willing to obtain a valid Police Check (required)
Hold or willing to obtain a valid Working with Children Check (required)
Hold or be willing to obtain Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect (RHHAN-EC) certificate (required)
Willing to accept the role of Persons with Management or Control (required)
