Flight Training Adelaide (FTA) is a world-class aviation training provider, operating since 1982. With campuses at Parafield Airport (SA) and Wellcamp Airport (QLD), we deliver customised training solutions for both fixed- and rotary-wing pilots. Our Wellcamp campus is home to the QANTAS Group Pilot Academy.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Flight Training Manager – Fixed-Wing to lead the planning, delivery, and oversight of our fixed-wing training programs in line with regulatory and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage all aspects of fixed-wing flight training delivery in compliance with CASA and ASQA standards

Oversee cadet progress and performance; conduct student reviews and reporting for airline partners

Monitor instructor KPIs and provide coaching and guidance where required

Coordinate resources effectively, including briefings and scheduling

Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of student records (logbooks, licences, medicals, AVETMISS)

Conduct staff performance reviews and develop individual growth plans

Ensure adherence to FTA procedures and regulatory standards across the training team

Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to maintain strong client relationships

What You’ll Need to Succeed

Essential:

Strong working knowledge of CASA Part 61 and applicable civil aviation regulations

Understanding of ASQA standards and other aviation regulatory frameworks

Knowledge of VET Student Loans (VSL) and associated compliance requirements

High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office and professional report writing

Full Australian work rights

Desirable:

Fixed-wing flying or instructional experience in an operational or training environment
