The Role

Join this leading QLD Government Department, for an initial 3-month contract with possible extension. As an A04 Procurement Support Officer your duties will include:

• Undertake end-to-end procurement projects.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies.
• Assisting with the preparation and calling of tenders for a variety of categories, including capital works.
• Prepare and review reports, contracts and correspondence.
• Updating spreadsheets and databases.
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and foster strong supplier relationships.
• Monitor and analyse procurement costs and collaborate with internal departments to forecast procurement needs.

You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Prior experience in procurement or purchasing
• Procurement experience from a construction or government background is an added bonus!
• Proficient MS Office Suite skills, including Excel
• Intermediate Adobe experience
• High attention to detail & excellent communication skills
