The Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FFE) Project is responsible for working with clinicians and project teams to develop the specification, commercial instruments and purchasing of an estimated $1 billion of FFE that is required for the ~ $14 billion capital investment the Queensland Government is making into health infrastructure.
What you'll do
- Establish and maintain close working relationships with key stakeholders, including Hospital and Health Services clients, contracted partners, external vendors, project teams, and other Department of Health colleagues.
- Consult with stakeholders to obtain Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment; ensuring timely delivery of FFE items in accordance with program schedules.
- Maintain a detailed documentary record of purchasing/quoting activities, decisions and contractual arrangements undertaken ensuring audit trails are adequately maintained and documented for probity, accountability, and audit purposes.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and review of purchasing systems, strategies, policies, and processes consistent with the requirements of the Queensland Procurement Policy and procurement best practice.
About you
We are searching for someone with:
- Demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience in health-related projects with complex quoting and purchasing requirements.
- Demonstrated conceptual and analytical skills to identify and analyse issues and develop quality options and strategies to resolve complex purchasing issues.
- Demonstrated communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, including the ability to advise and influence clients and senior management on complex purchasing issues.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, setting priorities and achieve results within tight deadlines in an environment of change and evolution.
- Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of client and customer focus to deliver agreed outcomes.
- Ability to travel to and work at Queensland Health facilities across the state.
