About the role

We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Spray Painter to join our dedicated team at McDonald Smash Repairs in Sandgate, Queensland. This is a full-time role where you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality vehicle repair services to our customers.

What you'll be doing

Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting by sanding, masking, and priming

Mix and apply automotive paints and clear coats to a high standard

Colour match and ensure a seamless finish on all painted surfaces

Maintain a clean and organised work area to support efficient workflow

Work collaboratively with the broader team to meet project deadlines

Assist with other bodywork tasks as required

What we're looking for

Minimum 3 years' experience as a qualified Vehicle Spray Painter

Strong technical skills in the use of automotive paint equipment and materials

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work

Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines

A keen eye for colour matching and an artistic flair for vehicle restoration

Passion for the automotive industry and a focus on continuous improvement
