Finishing Off + Spray Painter – Trailers & Caravan Fit-Outs
📍 Mount Tyson, QLD | 🕒 Full-Time | 💰 $35–$50/hr + Penalties | Stable Role with Variety & Hands-On Skills
Join a company that values quality, structure, and good people.
At Lite Haul Trailers, we’re known for building some of the most reliable horse floats, goosenecks, and now expanding into caravans and custom fit-outs. We take pride in the work we do, and we’re looking for someone who’s just as steady, detail-focused, and quality-driven to join our growing team in a hands-on, long-term position.
About the Role – 2 Core Components + Bonus Skills
This role is split into two key parts and suits someone looking for consistency and pride in their work. Whether you’re skilled in both areas or just one, we want to hear from you.
1. Finishing Off Trailers (Core Role for All Applicants)
You’ll be responsible for the final touch and fit-out work once our trailers come out of paint. Tasks include:
Fitting kickboards, rubber, trims, dividers, and accessories
Drilling, riveting, sealing and waterproofing
Light fabrication, adjustments, and quality touch-ups
Helping with caravan-style fit-outs and custom trailers
Working to a process and checking off each job with care
Collaborating with a supportive team, while also managing your own workload
2. Spray Painting (If Experienced)
If you’ve worked as an industrial or automotive spray painter, you’ll also:
Prime, seal, and top-coat trailers (approx. 25 hours per trailer)
Paint dividers, accessories, and smaller components
Prep, tape, maintain booth cleanliness and paint equipment
Follow a steady, clean, and efficient workflow
Bonus – Sandblasting Experience (Optional)
We are adding in-house sandblasting as part of our expansion. If you’ve done abrasive blasting before, it’s a big plus (not required).
About You – We’re Looking for High-Quality People Who:
Are currently living in Australia with valid work rights (mandatory)
Have finishing, fit-out, fabrication or spray painting experience
Are practical, reliable and happy doing structured, repetitive work
Can follow systems, checklists and job cards — you like order and doing things right
Are self-managed but also work well with others (you won’t be micromanaged)
Take pride in your work and care about the final product
Want a stable, full-time role with solid hours and consistent workflow
Are available for an immediate start or as soon as possible
What We Offer
$35–$50/hr + penalties, depending on experience
Minimum 40 hours per week, plus regular overtime available
6:00 AM – 2:30 PM weekdays (optional Saturday work available)
All tools and PPE provided, clean shed, supportive team
Hands-on learning – you’ll grow your skills fast in this unique and rewarding industry
A team that values steady hands, attention to detail, and respect
Job security, structure, and an excellent long-term future
