About the role

Zulu and SOZ Mechanical, a leading automotive service provider, is seeking experienced Heavy and/or Light Vehicle Mechanics to join our team in our Toowoomba and Withcott workshops. In this full-time position Monday to Friday, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of a diverse range of heavy and light vehicles, ensuring they are operating at peak efficiency and safety.

What you'll be doing

Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on heavy and light vehicles, including servicing, diagnostics, and repairs

Troubleshoot and identify issues with vehicle systems, such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components

Conduct comprehensive inspections and provide detailed reports on the condition of vehicles

Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used

Collaborate with the wider team to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow

Adhere to all safety procedures and environmental regulations

What we're looking for

Formal trade qualification in Heavy and/or Light Vehicle Mechanics

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach

Current driver's licence and your own tools. Specialty tools are provided
