An exciting opportunity exists for the right person to join the Asset Team!
Reporting to the Manager Assets, the Asset Information Officer will be responsible for the development and maintenance of accurate information and spatial data within the organisation, particularly in assisting in the administration of corporate GIS applications for the support of asset planning and management Primary responsibilities will be :
Work under general direction to develop, manage and update Council’s corporate asset registers for all infrastructure assets including but not limited to transport, recreation, building, stormwater, wastewater, and land within the relevant business systems.
Work under general direction to create, maintain, analyse and present a range of complex datasets including geographical and spatial data ensuring metadata is complete, up to date and readily available for all users.
Enter asset condition data, renewal programs, maintenance programs, as constructed asset information and gifted asset data into Council’s GIS and Asset Management Systems.
Ensure accuracy and currency of all asset Data.
Requirements for the role:
Diploma or tertiary qualification in relevant technical area such as spatial science, information technology or similar is desirable.
Experience within a GIS specific environment maintaining spatial data, asset management systems, and data management systems.
Demonstrated experience in asset data capture and accurate data entry
Experience in the integration of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and GIS.
Experience in Local Government is desirable.
