The Role

• Ensure that Council's record keeping responsibilities are met in terms of the State Records Act 1997, the Local Government Act 1999 and adequate records management standards are maintained
• Classify records in accordance with General Disposal Schedule
• Support staff in the operation of Councils Records Management module

Desired Skills and Experience

• Knowledge and experience in general records management procedures
• Strong computer skills plus the ability to familiarise quickly to new systems/program
• Attention to detail and initiative
• A relevant qualification in records management
• Experience in Local Government.
