About the Role
Lead and coordinate the end-to-end recruitment, including identifying and leading diverse sourcing strategies.
Management of onboarding employees and delivering a solid employee experience; leading capability development, goal-setting, and employee engagement initiatives
Actively participate in disciplinary and performance management processes and any other HR function necessary for the business to ensure compliance with relevant workplace legislation.
Reporting of HR statistics on a monthly basis.
Participation in and minute-taking of HR meetings.
Preparing and issuing of employment documents including employment contracts, termination documents, general employee letters, and position descriptions.
Responsible workers compensation claims management and managing RTW programs.
Management of the QMS (Quality Management System)
Assist with OHS and compliance needs of the business
Provide guidance and support to line managers on HR policies and procedures
Monthly reporting to Executive team
Provide expert advice, interpretation, and support to management on Employee Relations matters and Industrial Agreements
Develop/coordinate training for staff in areas such as OHS, IR/ER, and mental health awareness
Drive workplace health, safety, and well-being strategies, systems, and initiatives
Development of company departmental policies, procedures, and processes
Travel to interstate sites (as required)
Skills and experience
Be empathetic and approachable with the ability to communicate at all levels of the business
Skilled in processing payroll (experience using Xero / Employment Hero)
An understanding of OHS requirements and WorkCover is highly regarded
Tertiary qualification in Human Resources is advantageous but not essential
Experience working within a warehousing or transport environment is desirable
