Position Summary

We are seeking a talented and driven Senior Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team at Bocca Italian. This role is suited to an experienced chef who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and is passionate about Italian cuisine and high-quality produce.

As a Senior Chef de Partie, you will take ownership of your section, mentor junior team members, and support the leadership team in maintaining kitchen standards, quality control, and smooth service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage a designated section during service, ensuring consistency and quality of all dishes

Support the Head and Sous Chefs in daily kitchen operations, prep and service

Train and mentor junior chefs and kitchen hands to uphold high standards

Ensure all food is prepared and presented in accordance with the Bocca Italian standards

Monitor stock levels, minimise waste, and contribute to efficient stock rotation

Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment, following food safety and WHS regulations

Communicate effectively with front-of-house and kitchen teams to ensure seamless service

Contribute to menu development and seasonal specials through innovation and feedback

Skills & Experience

Minimum 3 years of experience in a busy, high-quality kitchen environment

Proven ability to manage a section with confidence and consistency

Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine, including pasta, pizza, and classic dishes

A passion for food and attention to detail in presentation and flavour

Experience supervising and mentoring junior team members

Understanding of food safety standards and kitchen compliance requirements

Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude
