Two Exciting Positions for Outdoor Education/Outdoor Recreation Professionals

Active Education has been providing a broad range of outdoor education services to schools for over 30 years with our base at Aldinga Beach Campsite.

We are looking for an experienced Program Manager as well as an experienced Program Coordinator to join our close-knit management team. The right people are:

· Passionate advocates of the importance and value of outdoor education experiences for young people

· Outgoing, approachable and supportive leaders who can oversee teams and programs at multiple locations

· Experienced outdoor educators with extensive program development & delivery experience

· Dedicated managers able to manage complex planning, coordination & logistics with attention to detail

Key responsibilities include:

Overseeing the planning, execution, and evaluation of outdoor educational programs, including staff rosters and program logistics.

Recruiting, training and developing a team of permanent and casual staff while maintaining a positive and supportive culture.

Maintaining high safety standards and ensure all operations comply with relevant regulations.

Liaising with customers and external partners as the primary program contact for events, facilitating strong relationships and addressing any issues swiftly.

Qualifications & Experience:

5+ years in a middle or senior management role in Outdoor Education, Tourism, Education, Teaching, Adventure Services, and/or Residential Camp experience all highly valued.

Recognised qualification in Outdoor Education and/or relevant experience with recreation certificates (such as, canoeing, aquatics, bushwalking).

Working Knowledge of Aust National Curriculum and its application in residential and journey-based school camps highly regarded.

Wilderness First Aid and a current driver's licence.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
