About the role

This is a full-time Accountant position at HBC Trading Australia Pty Ltd based in Regents Park, NSW. As an Accountant, you will play a vital role in the company's Financial Accounting & Reporting team, contributing to the overall financial success and strategic direction of the business.

What you'll be doing

Preparing and analysing financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow reports

Conducting financial analysis and providing insights to support business decision-making

Assisting with the month-end and year-end closing processes

Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations

Supporting the implementation of financial systems and processes

Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide financial information and advice

Continuously identifying opportunities to improve financial reporting and controls

What we're looking for

Degree in Accounting or Finance

Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practising Accountant (CPA)

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar financial accounting role

Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting

Proficient in the use of accounting software and data analysis tools

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

HR experience is an advantage
