About the role
The Sydney office is seeking an experienced and responsible Accountant to provide services relating to compliance-based financial reporting, auditing, insolvency and accounting information systems.
Your role will be:
External administration taxation reporting and liaison to the ATO
Preparation and lodgment of quarterly and monthly BAS’s with the ATO
External administration statutory reporting to ASIC
Liaising with financial institutions
Assisting in the preparation of monthly financial statements
Assisting with the preparation of multiple company cash flow forecasts, actuals and collections reporting sourced from Profit & Loss reports for distribution to Principals and Managers
Co-ordinating, supervising and implementing budgetary and accounting policies
Setting up and maintaining internal control systems
Resolving issues in external administration accounting software
Accounts payable / receivable processing and reconciliations
Reconciliation of Invoicing system to the Profit & Loss report
Internal disbursements reporting
Daily management reporting on cash management and bank reconciliations for external administrations
Monitoring day-to-day financial operations such as payroll, supplier payments, customer invoicing, and other transactions.
Desired skills and experience
The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:
Evidence of a minimum of three year full-time relevant work experience.
Bachelors degree or qualifications in a related field.
Membership or recognition for membership with an Affiliated Association/Body is advantageous but not essential.
Proficient understanding and knowledge of relevant statutory legislation and regulations.
Proficient knowledge of accounting principles.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Attention to detail and time management skills.
