KFP Pty Ltd is currently seeking a motivated Accountant for a full-time position.

Location- Smithfield

Salary: $85,000 per annum plus superannuation

Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in accounting.

Experience: Relevant experience in similar field

Duties:

Preparing asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.

Liaising with tax agent for preparing annual Financial Statements and completing BAS reporting requirements.

Summarizing current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports for presentation to boards of directors, management, shareholders, and governing and statutory bodies

Conducting financial investigations, preparing reports, undertaking audits and advising on matters such as the purchase and sale of businesses, mergers, capital financing, suspected fraud, insolvency and taxation

Examining operating costs and organizations’ income and expenditure

Advise management about issues such as resource utilization, tax strategies, and the assumptions underlying budget forecasts.

Reconciling financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.

Introducing and maintaining accounting systems, and advising on the selection and application of computer-based accounting systems

Securing financial information by completing data base backups.

Report to management regarding the finances of establishment.

Maintaining financial security by following internal controls.

Preparing payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.

Providing assurance about the accuracy of information contained in financial reports and their compliance with statutory requirements

Preparing special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.

Providing financial and taxation advice on business structures, plans and operations

Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
