Are You Our New Support Worker?

We’re searching for a natural leader with a big heart, strong mind, and the skills to inspire people women in the disability sector. You should:

Have 1+ years of support work experience in the disability, health, or related fields (SIL, Mental Health, High Behaviours, or High Needs experience is highly desirable).

Relevant Disability certificates

Be health-conscious - you care about fitness, self-improvement, and leading by example.

Bring strong communication skills and confidence to build relationships

Thrive in challenging environments, with experience managing participants with disabilities and/or mental health conditions.

BONUS: Have experience in Women's Work, Coaching, Youth Work, or Residential Care - or bring transferrable skills from backgrounds like the Personal Training, Police, Military, Martial Arts, Security, or Professional Sports.

Your Role as Support Worker

Mentoring & role modelling

Dealing with challenging situations

Providing 24/7 support including sleepover shifts

Supporting mental health cases

Providing support in the community

Possible exposure to Alcohol and Other Drug addictions

Possible provision of High Behaviour support

Assisting in personal care (showering & toileting)

Completing thorough shift notes & reports
