About The Role:

The Payroll Assistant supports the Payroll Officer in ensuring all payroll items are processed in a timely and accurate manner.

Key Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Setting up and maintaining employees' master file and other payroll documents as provided by HR on the payroll systems in a timely and accurate manner.

Preparing & processing employees' payroll on the payroll systems and attendance system in a timely and accurate manner.

Ensuring that payments are made according to the appropriate Employment Agreement rates.

Preparing and submitting monthly superannuation payments to SuperFund in a timely and accurate manner.

Ensuring that payroll salary packaging deductions and remittance to the salary packaging provider are correct and timely.

Addressing employees' queries or concerns on payroll or pay-related matters, when necessary.

Qualifications and Skills

About the Successful Applicant

The successful candidates should possess, but not be limited to following:

Essential:

Demonstrated experience in using payroll software/systems

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools

Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy

Ability to handle confidential information with integrity

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to learn quickly and thrive in a fast-paced working environment.

Ability to work to deadlines and with minimal supervision

Able to pass pre-employment checks, including National Police Checks

Desirable:

Familiar with the Aged Care industry

Ability to communicate in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese)

Understanding of Fair Work legislation, Enterprise Agreements and payroll-related regulations
