Before reading and applying for this exciting opportunity it’s important that you understand the following:

Do not apply for this position if you live overseas this position is only available to genuine applicants that live within Australia.

Do not apply for this position if you work for another tour company and you are not genuine about discussing opportunities. Applicants that work for other tour companies will be treated with the utmost of confidentiality. Just because you have worked in the industry it doesn't mean you'll be successful in working for our business. We need people that understand the business from a business perspective not just driving a bus.

Please understand we are a family business and we are currently the number one tour group in NSW after winning GOLD at the 2024 NSW Tourism Association awards. This means that any tour guide that joins our business is joining a very reputable business that has worked tirelessly on quality not quantity. There's a big difference between those two words!

It's been a busy couple of years since international borders reopened with record numbers of international tourists returning to Australia. The Blue Mountains is the number one location in Australia outside of Sydney and is on their bucket list and we couldn't be happier with the numbers we have moved. Our forward bookings for the upcoming spring and summer are very encouraging and it's time now to focus on the employment of additional tour guides. Our business is looking to employ tour guides for the Blue Mountains and the future growth of our business to include other tour products in and around Sydney.

You need to have a great personality, have a current drivers authority, MR license preferred, good driving record, energy, well presented, the ability to tell stories and be a good communicator. Our business is not just about numbers it’s about quality as mentioned above and every aspect of our business is crucial from the moment guests make a booking through to being picked up and safely delivered back to Sydney.

The person(s) that we employ must have an understanding of the international community, always be polite, punctual, attentive to detail and respectful. Time management is crucial as the day must run smoothly and at the same time you need to remain entertaining for our guests. We have a 10-seater Mercedes Sprinter, which is predominantly used for private tours and 3 x 21-seat Toyota Coasters that we use for larger groups. We specialise in group day tours and we also have many private tours that come across our desk.

You need to love tour guiding and have a personality to match. Please don’t apply for this role if you do not love what you do.

We pay better than any other tour business and we do that because we only want the best people working for us. We don't want drivers, we want story tellers and entertainers. The secret to a great tour guide is knowing when to talk and when not to talk.

We have exciting plans that will evolve in the upcoming summer and into 2026 which involves various tour products being on offer for the international community. Sydney’s second international airport is also taking flight in 2026!

The time to start recruiting and planning is now. We have incentives for drivers that work Sundays and public holidays, most other tour groups don't but we believe in paying the best rate for the best people.

We are also open to employing the right person(s) on a full time basis so we can all plan for our futures together.

We are based in the Blue Mountains but that doesn't mean you need to live here. Our vehicles are based both in Sydney and the Mountains allowing for our business to manage your driver fatigue management and that is crucial to your well-being and our business. We have our day planned that allows drivers to complete their tour within a suitable time frame and most days you can have guests dropped off back in the city between 4 and 4:30pm at the latest and you can be heading for home.

Our main focus is the Blue Mountains Day Tours that we are known for but other products will be available during 2025 and 2026.

We look forward to sharing that with you. Recently due to our exemplary and continuous 5 star reviews TripAdvisor announced that we are in the top 20 tour businesses in the Australian/New Zealand/Pacific Islands region, our owner has been nominated and is in the final for the NSW Tourism Association ‘tour guide of the year’ and our business is currently the number 1 tour group in NSW winning GOLD at the 2024 NSW Tourism awards.

Your day-to-day Blue Mountains Day Tour responsibilities are as follows:

Collect all guests on time as per manifest. (Your manifest is prepared in advance so you know exactly where you will be going). We have limited and focused regular pick up locations and they do not change.

Share the stories of Australia on your journey to the Blue Mountains and arrive on time at our breakfast location.

Following breakfast take guests to the upper Blue Mountains which includes but not limited to the Three Sisters and Scenic World.

We have a regular time slot for lunch also located in the mountains.

Guests are then driven to Featherdale Wildlife Park.

Following the Wildlife Park guests are returned to Sydney.

After final drop off you will then head for home.

Your time management is everything remembering guests have evening plans so pointless keeping them out longer than necessary. At interview stage you will be taken through the exact itinerary and time management requirements for the day.

We are more than happy to train any successful applicant who has a desire to become a tour guide and we also welcome experienced tour guides. If you are a current tour guide in the industry your application will be treated in the strictest of confidence.

If you are successful past the interview phase you will be required to go on a famil.

We are a family run business and as such those family values are very important.

You will have a big responsibility ensuring the safety of our guests, your protection and the protection of our vehicles is paramount. A good driving record is very important.

If you’re interested please upload a detailed covering letter letting us know a little about you followed by your resume which lists your experience.

We are wanting to utilise the winter to train and have in position new and exciting tour guides for our upcoming season.

We look forward to your application.
