Core Purpose
The core purpose of the Digital Marketing Coordinator is to assist the Digital and Communications team in enhancing communications to our key stakeholder audience groups using EDMs and website content. This role does not work as much with social media, but rather focuses on creating targeted and effective user journeys to segmented audiences across EDMs and websites, driving greater traffic, awareness, engagement and conversions. The role has four main functions:
1. EDM creation - putting together and copywriting all EDMs appropriate for segmented target audiences
2. Monitor and update Hockey Australia and Hockey One websites - ensuring they are always up-to-date and optimised, using strong copywriting and working with the Graphic Designer and across the business to update all visual and text elements to improve the user journey
3. Data organisation – ensure all EDM audience data is segmented and updated on an ongoing basis
4. Metrics reporting – maintain ongoing metrics reports across the website and EDMs and working with the team to put together results reports for ongoing learning

Key Responsibilities
EDM and data:
Copywrite and send all EDMs – using high-level and effective tone and language and imagery appropriate for segmented audience lists
Create segmented audience EDM lists and update on an ongoing basis, with the aim of ensuring data is clean and to increase audience awareness, growth and conversions
Work with the Graphic Designer and partnership team to ensure correct and timely use and creation of EDM banners and email signatures to promote items within and outside of campaigns
Website and digital platforms:
Monitor and update HA and Hockey One websites and other digital platforms (such as livehockey.com.au) copywriting and working with the Graphic Designer to ensure all image, banner and text content is up-to-date, clear and creates a seamless user journey
Create and improve webpages for events and other areas of the business to improve user journeys and therefore conversions
Work with the Media Manager and associated contacts to ensure athlete profiles, stats and milestones are up-to-date on websites and, where appropriate, passed on to be used for social media, designs, editorials and within press releases etc.
Work with the Content Manager to align paid ads and segmented lists across paid social media, Google Ads, SEO and EDMs, ensuring an optimised, results-driven and targeted approach to enhance the user journey, engagement and conversions
Investigate and carry out opportunities to utilise Google Ads and SEO to increase awareness, engagement and conversions
Work with website and digital platform providers to improve content and user journeys, where applicable
Campaigns and metrics tracking:
Work with the Content Manager to put together National Championships campaigns, and liaise with Government contacts to ensure all marketing deliverables are achieved
Use metrics and analytics on a daily basis to track the performance of website and EDMs using Google Analytics and DotDigital, with the aim of increasing visitation, time on site, open and click rate and audience growth
Assist the team to put together ongoing results and create results reports for all channels and campaigns for the team and Board
Skills & Attributes
Advanced English written (copywriting), verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate with appropriate tone and language for various audiences is a MUST
Strong understanding and experience with CMS and EDM software and social media channels, including understanding of data segmentation and targeting
Understanding of Google Analytics, Ads and SEO, and using this in collaboration with other data and other channels to enhance user journeys and audience growth and conversions
Understanding of digital marketing metrics, audience data and associated software with ability to apply an analytical lens
Basic knowledge of web / html coding preferred
A willingness to stay atop new and emerging digital marketing and content trends to enhance engagement, data growth and the user journey
An ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with a diverse and complex range of stakeholders
Proven ability to be forward thinking outside of the box and demonstrate initiative
Very strong attention to detail
Demonstrated alignment with HA Values
Passion for sports and audience engagement preferred
Qualifications
Degree in Digital Marketing or related discipline
2-3 years’ experience in a digital marketing role
Experience within sports preferred but not essential
