Legal Administrator
Salary: $70,000 - $75,000 plus Super
Type: Permanent
Hours: Full-time, 9am - 5pm
Location: Newcastle CBD
Note: We are working closely with our client to identify a candidate who is seeking a long-term career in legal administration. While the role is for a Legal Assistant, the client's preference is for individuals who are not currently studying law or intending to become practicing lawyers. This is to ensure alignment with the long-term nature of the administrative career path being offered.

Your new role
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Oversee daily administrative and support functions for the Property and Estates Team
- Coordinate archiving, document retrieval, and safe custody filing alongside the team paralegal
- Deliver general office support, including file management, document drafting, and reception duties
- Actively contribute to team culture and support ongoing service improvements
- Uphold firm values and maintain strict confidentiality at all times
- Work collaboratively with a supportive and experienced legal team
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience in administration is essential
- Prior experience in legal, professional services or similar is highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail with excellent efficiency, organisation, and time management
- Professional, approachable, and clear communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to prioritise tasks and work independently or collaboratively as needed
- Positive, proactive attitude with a genuine interest in contributing to a growing team
- Tech-savvy in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience with document management systems, CRM, or billing software is a plus
