We are seeking a qualified Assistant Director for our well-established Randwick Long Day Care Centre. Catering to 160 children per day, our Centre is a design marvel. Its open-plan design enables Educators in every room to have complete visibility and support from neighbouring teams.

Our Centre Director has been in the sector for many years and is highly passionate about our Centre. She is also very hands-on and ensures that all team members receive the necessary support in their daily duties. There is a considerable sense of shared responsibility at the Centre. Therefore, we require a candidate willing to contribute to a greater goal, not just complete their daily tasks.
We expect the Assistant Director to be able to perform all tasks currently performed by the Director, as this will be necessary when the Director is periodically absent or engaged in other tasks. This includes rostering, managing daily operations, engaging with families and external clients, communicating with organisations, and mentoring daily practice. Additionally, we offer a Community Engagement Program that requires the participation of our leadership team. This means there is an expectation to participate in some activities outside of regular working hours.
Casual Educators will be responsible for supporting the daily duties of our collaborative team(s), including implementing a sound educational program for children. They must also have a can-do attitude and find creative ways to engage with their team, families, and the local community.
Paisley Park implements a unique Quality Improvement Training Program that embeds professional learning in everyday practice. A significant component of our framework is in-house reflective mentoring, which can take place during or outside working hours. All our candidates are required to participate in reflective practice and document their critical reflections in journals. We host monthly Professional Learning Mentor sessions to ensure that our Educators across all Paisley Park Centres work collaboratively, are supported and motivated to carry out their daily duties competently and confidently.

1. An Early Childhood qualification (Diploma, University Degree)
2. A Working with Children Check
3. A Senior First Aid/Anaphylaxis/Asthma Certification
4. A Drivers Licence, or the ability to navigate public transport
5. Australian Residency or sponsorship capacity
6. Child Protection Certification and an understanding of their Mandatory Reporting Responsibilities
7. Have experience developing and implementing high-quality educational programs and curriculum frameworks
8. The ability to communicate well, both orally and in writing.
