Multiple casual positions available from September 2025

Band 3 - $41.34 per hour (inclusive of 25% casual loading) plus 12% statutory superannuation if applicable (junior rates apply if under 21)

Wellington Shire Council is seeking friendly, reliable individuals to join our team as Customer Service Officers (Lifeguards). These casual positions will be at our newly refurbished Aqua Energy Leisure Centre in Sale opening later in the year. You will also be available to work at our indoor and outdoor pool facilities in Sale, Heyfield, Maffra, Rosedale, Stratford, and Yarram.

You will be part of a supportive team that helps create a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable experience for everyone who visits our pools. Whether you are monitoring the water, assisting visitors, or ensuring everything runs smoothly, you will play an important role in the daily operations of our community facilities.

We are looking for individuals who:

• Have strong communication and customer service skills
• Work effectively as part of a team
• Can engage confidently with people of all ages and backgrounds
• Remain calm under pressure and are focused on safety
• Take pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and professional environment

Work hours may include early mornings, evenings, after school, and weekends.

To be rostered for shifts, you will need to obtain and maintain the following:

• Pool Lifeguard Certificate
• Level 2 First Aid
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate
• Working with Children Check (if you are 18 years of age or older)

(If you do not currently hold all of the required qualifications, you may still apply. However, you will need to obtain them (at your own cost) before being rostered for shifts.)
