As Moonlit Sanctuary’s Finance Manager, you would report to the General Manager and be responsible for the end-to-end management of all financial functions, in addition to serving as a trusted advisor and strategic business partner to the Sanctuary’s senior leadership team. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to an organisation driven to achieve impactful outcomes for its people, the animals in our care, the environment and the visitor experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership: Help foster a culture of excellence and high performance, aligning with Moonlit Sanctuary’s values and strategic goals.

Financial Management: Manage all financial functions at Moonlit Sanctuary, ensuring high standards of practice and governance are maintained.

Strategy: Partner with the business as strategic advisor on all-things finance, ensuring opportunities are pursued and risks managed.

Continuous Improvement: Drive a growth mindset, collaborating on better and more efficient ways of working in support of Moonlit Sanctuary’s goals.

What We're Looking For:

A talented professional with an interest in supporting wildlife and environmental conservation through their chosen vocation.

A tertiary qualified professional with CPA or CA credentials who approaches financial leadership with a CFO mindset - demonstrating expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to guide planning, resource allocation, and evidenced-based decision making.

Proven hands-on experience in a similar end-to-end finance management role and comfort as a sole practitioner.

Someone who thrives in both detail-oriented and big picture work who values relationships as much as results, and who understands the purpose behind the numbers.

Someone who effectively manages both people and processes, removing obstacles, streamlining workflows, and ensuring operational continuity.

A great communicator who can convey financial and operational information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.

A trusted advisor and business partner with a strong commitment to continuous improvement and driving efficiencies.

A critical thinker who can capitalise on existing growth and success and drive the business further forward.
